Why We Feature Them

Our take on Barbour

Barbour makes the Beadnell and Beaufort the way they have since 1894 — waxed cotton shell, tartan lining, corduroy collar. They hold up in arena dust the same way they hold up in Scottish rain. The Beadnell is the pick for riders: long enough to cover the saddle rise, fitted enough to layer under a vest.

Worth noting: Re-wax annually. A neglected Barbour loses weather resistance within two seasons and cannot be fully restored.
